It is essential that you wash and steam your FEMCUPs prior to using them EACH time. This includes from first purchase. First and foremost, please give your hands a thorough wash with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds. Rinse with warm water. Place your FEMCUP in the FEMCUP sterilizer cup and either cover fully with freshly boiled water for 8-10 minutes OR place in the microwave with FEMCUP in the sterilizer cup (without the lid on) on full power for 90 seconds (Be aware this will be hot on removal
from the microwave!).
Allow sterilizer & contents to fully cool. Wash hands thoroughly again and then remove your FEMCUP from the sterilizer cup.
Insert by folding the cup lip in on itself and gently inserting into the vaginal canal

Mid insertion, allow the cup to pop open. Turn & reposition as required. When properly inserted, the cup should feel like it looks – bell shaped! If it is flat, simply pull out & reinsert.
Using a cup may be a completely new experience for you. As FEMCUP is made of medical grade soft silicone, it is easily positioned, amazingly gentle and super flexible. When inserted you should not feel FEMCUP at all. It may take a few practice runs to get comfortable, this is completely normal and to be expected!

REMOVING YOUR FEMCUP
When using menstrual cups, you may become aware of when you require to refresh your cup, although this is different for everyone. Depending on the flow, timescale and duration
of your period, this could be every 1-2 hours or longer, hence the reason for having the trio set! You can conveniently empty the contents of your used cup down the toilet and then insert a fresh cup.
